COVID-19 is the infectious disease caused by the most recently discovered coronavirus and is impacting our local community, country, and the world at a growing rate. We, therefore, want to bring you up-to-date on the measures we are taking to keep you and those around us healthy and safe.
Since our inception, BergerHenry ENT has prioritized hygiene and cleanliness at each office location. In addition, we have always been strict in adhering to CDC, OSHA and ADA guidelines in the treatment of infectious diseases. We sanitize office spaces, common gathering areas, and exam rooms several times daily. But, given the circumstances, we’ve increased the frequency of our sterilization protocols as well as increased the amount of hand sanitizers in waiting rooms and anti-bacterial soap dispensers near sinks and in washrooms.
We have emphasized the need for extra-frequent hygiene etiquette with our office staff and have given them the support they need to stay home if they do not feel well or have come into contact with anyone known to have been diagnosed with COVID-19.
We also need the help of our patients in deterring the spread of COVID-19. If you have been within six feet of a person who has been diagnosed with the virus, show symptoms of the virus (runny nose, sore throat, cough, fever, difficulty breathing), or have traveled outside the US, we ask that you cancel your appointment with us. We will reschedule a more suitable time for you after we have been updated on the status of the virus by health and governmental agencies. In the meantime, we highly recommend self-quarantine for 14 days.
Due to the hyper-frequent sterilization protocols that we have employed, we feel each office location is safe. Therefore, BergerHenry ENT will remain open.
We will continue to keep you informed of updates and changes to protocol. In the meantime, please make every effort to remain healthy. Our thoughts and prayers are with those affected by the virus and with those working to quell its spread.
Thank you!
